1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GateCrashers.Events ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.

GateCrashers.Events is operated by Neverworld Grid, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

GateCrashers.Events is an event listing and venue discovery platform serving the OpenSimulator virtual world community and the broader Hypergrid. The Platform allows users to post, discover, and attend virtual world events across multiple grids.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering.

Neverworld Grid residents may verify their avatar identity through the ORBIT verification system. Verified status grants access to the NWG Free tier at no charge.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are used in any way that is harmful to the Platform or its users.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscription tiers (Basic and Advanced) are billed monthly through PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method until you cancel.

Advertising placements are one-time purchases for a fixed duration (7, 30, or 90 days). All ads are subject to review and approval before going live. We reserve the right to reject any ad for any reason.

All payments are processed securely through PayPal. We do not store your payment information. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through PayPal. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform, including event listings, venue descriptions, and images ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute that content on the Platform.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that is:

• False, misleading, or fraudulent
• Infringing on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Obscene, offensive, or harmful
• Spam or unsolicited commercial content
• In violation of any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our sole discretion without notice.

6. Gate Devices and In-World Integration

Gate devices are LSL-scripted objects placed in OpenSimulator virtual worlds that communicate with the Platform. By installing a Gate device, you confirm that you have the right to place objects in the region where the Gate is installed.

Gate devices periodically transmit avatar count data and heartbeat signals to the Platform. No personally identifiable information about region visitors is collected or transmitted by Gate devices.

7. GateCrashers Event Broadcaster (GEB)

The GateCrashers Event Broadcaster is an in-world display device that shows event listings from the Platform. Use of the GEB requires a valid API key obtained from the Platform. Keys are issued for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared or resold.

Advanced tier subscribers may generate private GEB keys that enable grid-concentric display features. These keys are tied to your account and will be deactivated if your subscription lapses.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post events or venues that do not exist or that you have no affiliation with
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any event listings or other content on the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neverworld Grid, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Data Usage

We collect the following information when you use the Platform:

• Account data: Your display name, email address, and optionally your OpenSimulator avatar name and UUID for NWG verification.
• Event and venue data: Content you submit including event listings, venue descriptions, and uploaded images.
• Usage data: Page views, clicks, and ad impressions for analytics and billing purposes.
• Payment data: Subscription and transaction records. Payment details are handled entirely by PayPal and are never stored on our servers.
• Gate device data: Avatar counts and heartbeat timestamps from in-world Gate devices. No personally identifiable visitor information is collected.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not serve third-party advertising on the Platform. Your data is used solely to operate and improve the Platform.
