GateCrashers.Events is operated by Neverworld Grid LLC, a US-based company. For any privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact us directly at neverworldgrid@gmail.com. As a small platform, the site operator personally handles all data protection inquiries — there is no separate Data Protection Officer, but every request is treated with the same seriousness one would provide.

3. How Passwords Are Handled

Your password is never stored in readable form. It is processed through a one-way cryptographic salted hash at the moment of account creation or login. This means even we, the operators of GateCrashers, cannot see, retrieve, or read your password — ever. If our database were somehow compromised, the password hashes alone would be computationally useless to an attacker.

4. NWG Avatar Verification

Avatar verification is entirely optional and exists only to grant Neverworld Grid residents the NWG Free tier. If you choose to use it, your avatar name is checked once against the Neverworld Grid database to confirm residency. No grid password or credentials are ever transmitted, stored, or retained by GateCrashers. The verification result (yes/no) is the only thing kept — not the underlying credentials used to check it. You are never required to use this feature; the standard Free tier is available to anyone without any grid verification at all.

5. What We Never Do

• • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party
• • We do not run third-party advertising networks or ad-tracking scripts
• • We do not store payment card details — all payment is processed directly by PayPal
• • We do not use invasive cookie-based tracking; our analytics (Plausible) is cookieless by design
• • Gate devices do not collect personally identifiable information about region visitors — only anonymous, aggregate avatar counts

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data (name, email, password hash, avatar name) is permanently removed within 14 days. Publicly posted event/venue content may be removed at the same time or retained in anonymized form if it has been publicly shared (e.g., already shared on social media), at your request.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• • Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
• • Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated data ("right to be forgotten")
• • Restriction — request we limit how your data is processed
• • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

• • Withdraw consent — at any time, for anything based on consent (e.g., NWG verification)

8. Cookies

GateCrashers uses only essential session cookies required for you to stay logged in. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics provider, Plausible, does not use cookies at all and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information.

9. International Data Transfers

GateCrashers is hosted on servers located in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using GateCrashers, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data regardless of where it is processed.

10. Children's Privacy

GateCrashers is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, it will be deleted promptly.
